European Aquatics has announced that, due to a request from Local Authorities and the Local Organising Committee (LOC), the third leg of the European Aquatics Open Water Cup, initially scheduled for 26th July in Paris, has now been moved forward by a day to 25th July 2025.
This adjustment is aimed at ensuring optimal conditions and organisation in the River Seine, where the competition will be held. The change was formally communicated yesterday to all National Federations to ensure seamless coordination for athletes, teams, and spectators alike.
The Seine, known for its historical significance and picturesque surroundings, will provide a unique backdrop for Leg 3 of the competition. Paris has been making significant efforts to improve water quality and logistical infrastructure in preparation for hosting major open water events, reinforcing its commitment to aquatic sports following the Olympic Games that took place in the city last year.
With the new date confirmed, athletes and teams can now fine-tune their preparations for what promises to be a spectacular and closely contested race in the heart of France’s capital.
