European Aquatics is staging three separate Championships within the next month – in Turkiye, Croatia and Portugal – and has created dedicated sites for each of them for specific news and coverage.
The European Aquatics Diving Championships Antalya 2025, taking place from May 22 to 28, will be the eighth stand-alone edition – and the 43rd overall.
The impending competition at the Gloria Sports Arena, set in one of Turkiye’s most picturesque resorts, will see Great British athletes seeking to keep their country at the top of the medals table, where they finished at the last two European Aquatics Championships in 2022 and 2024.
Divers from Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Spain and France are likely to provide serious opposition to that ambition.

The European Aquatics Open Water Swimming Championships Stari Grad 2025 are set for May 28 to 31. Italy will aim to maintain its predominance against the rising challenge of nations such as Hungary, Germany and France.
The Italians enjoyed a clean sweep in the men’s events during the 2022 European Aquatics Championships in Rome, with Gregorio Paltrinieri, Domenico Acerenza and Mario Sanzullo taking the 5km, 10km and 25km titles for the hosts. Rachele Bruni and Ginevra Taddeucci joined forces with the former two athletes for the Team event, where they also took gold.
At last year’s EA Championships in Belgrade the Italians maintained their standing with three golds in a total of nine medals, thanks to Paltrinieri in the men’s 10km, Dario Verani in the men’s 25km and Barbara Pozzobon.
But Germany and France shared the remaining four titles, and will be looking for similar levels of achievement in Stari Grad, which hosted the first EA Open Water Swimming Championships in 1989.

Meanwhile Spain is planning to maintain its recent pre-eminence at the European Aquatics Artistic Swimming Championships Funchal 2025, which will take place from June 2 to 5.
Third at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships in Rome, Spain topped the medals table at the Championships which took place within the third European Games in 2023, and again at last year’s overall Championships in Belgrade.
Big opposition is expected however from countries including Great Britain, The Netherlands and Austria.
